Bibliocom 2004 awardsawards for the libraries and their promoters2004-09-14 Deadline for submission posponed to September, 30thFollowing the success of last year, Bibliocom goes on with the Awards for the libraries and their promoters. This event aims to promote the image of the library in the contemporary society pointing out the best performances in four important sector. These sectors have been chosen according to the most modern ideas of libraries and thinking about their vital role in the community: Children libraries on show: A prize to the Italian organization, both public and private, that opened -- during 2003-2004 -- or is going to open the best library (organization of the space, furniture) for children and teens. Nati per leggere: A prize to the Italian public organization that realized or is going to realize the best activity linked to the project "Nati per leggere" (Born to read). @lla tua biblioteca: A prize to the Italian public organization that realized or is going to realize the best activity linked to the logo "@lla tua biblioteca" (@ your library). Biblio & promo: A prize to the Italian library that realized or is going to realize the best guide concerning the library and its services. A jury composed by AIB experts, publishers and experts from other involved fields will judge all the candidatures, surely on a very good level as the ones of Bibliocom 2003. The awards ceremony will be moving, for the feeling of purpose sharing between the librarians and their community. The awards will be sponsored. For the current year, the prizes will be divided into 4 sections and they will be awarded by a jury composed by representatives of the libraries and the world of culture.
