Corpi di standardizzazione
- IETF: <<[..] the owners of any proprietary rights in the contribution grant an unlimited perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free world-wide right and license to the ISOC and the IETF under any copyrights in the contribution. This license include the right to copy, publish and distribute the contribution in any way, and to prepare derivative works that are based on or incorporate all or part of the contribution, the license to such derivative works to be of the same scope as the license of the original contribution>>[2];
- W3C<<The problem comes from the “field of use” restrictions that patent holder are allowed to put in their royalty-free patent licenses. Such restrictions say that you are allowed to practice patent idea, but only for implementing the standard precisely as specified. Thus if you change the code to depart from the spec even slightly, the patent license no longer protects you from against being sued for infringing the patent.>>[3];
- OASIS <<The OASIS Board of Directors will not make any explicit determination that the assurance of reasonable and non-discriminatory terms for the use of a technology has been fullfilled in practice>>[4];
