W3C<<The problem comes from the “field of use” restrictions that patent holder are allowed to put in their royalty-free patent licenses. Such restrictions say that you are allowed to practice patent idea, but only for implementing the standard precisely as specified. Thus if you change the code to depart from the spec even slightly, the patent license no longer protects you from against being sued for infringing the patent.>>[3];
OASIS <<The OASIS Board of Directors will not make any explicit determination that the assurance of reasonable and non-discriminatory terms for the use of a technology has been fullfilled in practice>>[4];
